This film is listed as a mystery/thriller/horror and stars Katie Walder, Matt Passmore, Nathan Keyes, Jon Abrahams, and Laura Gordon. The story is about Sarah, played by Katie Walder, who suffers from blackouts after a car accident. Event sequences stop making sense in her life and she wakes up in unexplained positions. It starts to take a toll on her marriage so she decides to use a hidden camera to record what she is missing…
I chose this film because the summary on Netflix seemed interesting and Netflix predicted that I would give it 3/5 stars. Netflix was way off of the mark. To put it bluntly, I was disturbed by this film. The only thing that kept me going was that I felt I was owed an explanation as to what was going on and thought that it had to get better. The explanation did not really make me feel better because the culprit is a guy with a god complex who has the ability to resurrect the dead. He has serious mental issues and uses this ability for evil.
…I hate this movie and wish I had never watched it
This story could have been better especially if it had gone in a different direction with how the villain used his ability. As it turns out, this film is based on a book but the only way I can describe the movie is in two words: crap sandwich.
As I neared the end of the film I thought at least it would end on a good note… I was wrong. The bad guy does die but also the others that were involved with him and the movie hints that his ability has been passed on to the child he fathered. I don’t like stories with that much evil in them and it had too much blood for my taste. (I won’t even go into the parts with the dog and bunny.)
Overall, I hate this movie and wish I had never watched it. I hate it so much that, although I was left with more questions after the film, I refuse to watch it again to see if I missed something. The premise was absurd, insane and leaves the viewer with an icky feeling.
The only positive of this film is that I never have to watch it again
The plot is both insane and disgusting.
All of it.
